Laser Engraved Messenger Bag
A beautiful messenger bag with custom engraved logo. This was sealed immediately after engraving to preserve the dark markings. The leather could alternately have been washed before sealing to get a lighter, more ‘natural’ appearance.

Laser Cut Acrylic Snowflake
This was a speculative design done as a holiday decoration for a boutique loft/hotel chain. Designed in partnership with Anne Howley, the project was to create a branded holiday decoration that was in keeping with their modern, minimalist design.

Laser Etched Charger
This was an experiment done for a friend who does some wedding planning. It’s a monogram etch on an inexpensive plastic charger with a silver coating over dark plastic. It etched well, but was a bit slow. If we did it again, we could probably speed it up significantly by running it at 400 dpi.

Laser Engraving the iPhone 4
Sara at In a Flash Laser was kind enough to be the first to laser etch the new iPhone 4. So emboldened by the fact that we knew they wouldn’t explode, we decided to put our personal phones on the line, and try it ourselves. Thankfully, it all went pretty well.
