The client has positioned their product as a revival of Edwardian era civility and craftsmanship. They wanted an aged looking, but still elegant and eye catching way of displaying the antique style brown glass apothecary tubes the products are shipped in. The blocks were saw cut, then drilled and split to create the display pieces. The resulting pieces had their corners and edges hand rounded, and a traditional whitewash gaze was applied with a dry brush technique. Once that was dry, the pieces were sandblasted briefly to further distress the whitewash, and create a more natural aged texture.
