Laser Engraved Messenger Bag

A beautiful messenger bag with custom engraved logo. This was sealed immediately after engraving to preserve the dark markings. The leather could alternately have been washed before sealing to get a lighter, more ‘natural’ appearance.

This is the first of a number of pieces we are doing in conjunction with Arthur Porter of Dallas Designing Dreams.  Leather comes in a bewildering array of types, thicknesses and finishes, with each one behaving in a unique manner on the laser.  These projects will showcase various types and finishes, and what can be accomplished with each.

DDD is a great non-profit teaching leather working and entrepreneurial skills to kids and aspiring artists.  Arthur, and the other folks there are tremendous teachers and mentors and we look forward to doing a great deal of work in partnership with them.
